I have a T3449.uk PC which has had a virus and is sick. I am trying to format the C drive and reinstall (I have backed up my files to an external drive).
When I press F10 for system recovery the bar passes at the bottom of the black screen and then the screen goes light blue and nothing else appears, any ideas?
Also if I create recovery discs now will they be infected or work at all if I can't boot into the system recovery?

I'm not sure if you'll be able to create recovery discs now. If you can, go ahead and try - the source files are compressed and protected.
You may still be able to purchase recovery discs from other web sites outside of HP.
Please post rather than send me a Message. It's good for the community and I might not be able to get back quickly. - Thank you.

In addition, your backup files are probably infected with the same virus, and they will in turn re-infect yoru clean install.
An ounce of prevention....
