The HP Support Assistant has been stuck at "Installing/Applying the Items Selected" for 3 days now. The bar under HP Update Software utility has gone from black to white. How do I get it to finish whatever its trying to do?
HP p6319 running Windows 7 Professional

okay now it has been stuck on health scan in progress for 4 days endlessly, can someone tell me how to fix this? I have tried to stop the service in task manager but it starts right back up and still stuck.

Mine has done this before and is doing again now. What I find as "inappropriate" about this HP driven update is that HP support has not yet provided an answer! Thus, THAT should be "tagged" as inappropriate!!! It appears to be yet another case of customer non-support :-(

A solution that has worked for some people experiencing this problem is to uninstall HP Support Assistant using the Microsoft uninstall utility:
and then download and reinstall HP Support Assistant from the HP website:
