HP p6610F sound card replacement

I've had a never ending problem with my onboard audio ever since I bought my desktop. I thought I had it solved with help fro another forum but,it has returned. I've grown frustrated with this and have decided to just install a different sound card.

My desktop is a pain to get out from under my desk and would prefer to pull it out just one time.

Does my motherboard take a PCI or PCI-E sound card ???

Re: HP p6610F sound card replacement

Old-geekster fixed it for you ther last time here, remember Step7.

I might add that you need to disable the other sources (see fig14).

The real culprit is that your allowing updates without selecting which item to allow. Had the same problem, the onboard driver update kept killing my added Sound Card.
