I turned off my Slimline s3220n about 2 weeks ago because I was leaving for vacation. Pressed the switch today to turn it back on - nothing. No lights, no fan, nothing. The only thing that happens is the green power supply LED that's visible from the rear of the case lights up when I plug in the power cable.
I suspect it's a power supply problem but perhaps it could be the power switch?
Whichever it is, is there a part number for replacement?

Hi,
Try this procedure and see if you can isolate the issue. Trouble Shooting Power Supply Issues. Don’t skip any steps.

Thanks for the link - but steps 8 & 9 are not helpful when troubleshooting a Slimline computer. The case is simply too small and the components too cramped together to be able to perform those steps.
Do you know of a link to steps for taking the machine apart? It would be helpful to know how to remove the drives to gain access to the motherboard. If I could do that I would be able to perform steps 8 & 9 and complete the diagnostics.

Does anyone know where to purchase a new power supply for the s3220n? I went on eBay and also googled it and the only kinds that are coming up are these insanely overpowered power supplies with all these unnecessary connections for molex and fdd etc. I only need the mini 24 pin power connection and 2 sata power connections.....thats it. Any one with any advice please let me know.

slackerx10,
First of all, did you read the excellent advice by Big_Dave as to testing the PSU?
Although the stock 160W PSU is available, the replacement 220W is no an insanely over power replacement.
As for the connectors, it a given:http://www.cputopia.com/psu-replacement-220w-hp-51
160W: http://allpcpower.com/hp5188-7520actualoemreplacem
