HP update problem!!

Yes, although there have been helpful tips for others under Krypt808's my original post....my problem is still not solved...even though it says solved next to my post, this problem has yet to be solved!!!!

Same problem for me. Endless beeps. Temp solution was to power down 5-seconds, then powerup. Vista worked. Wierd though, if PC left off for many hours (SHUTDOWN), it starts with the black screen and Beeps again!. Mine is an A6500f pavilion/ Vista. I think this all started with the "updates" during my first week of ownership. On the fence right now about what to do with this.
