How Do I transfer photos to PC using the memory card reader on my HP 7525?

How do I transfer photos from the SD memory card I have inserted into the HP Photosmart 7525 SD MMC slot to my PC? The only choices I am given after I hit "select all" photos to upload is either Snapfish or USB Drive as a "save destination" point. I do not want either. I want to save directly into my PC desktop's hard drive into the Pictures library. Extremely frustrated how to do this? Why can't I add another "Save Destination" folder from the Printer's touch screen?

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

You've got 3 options (from very easy to more techco):

(a) Pull the card out and put on your computer card reader,

(b) Use an USB cardreader (I bought 10 from Best Buy for under $4 each),

(c) Mapping card reader on your peinter to network:

Probably you want option #c.

Hey Kit50,

I understand you are having an issue with transferring files from the printer to the PC.

Did install the printer on your PC?

Was wondering if you can scan to your computer?

Let me know.

Thanks

Most computers have a card reader. The "setting" within 'Autoplay" (Control Panel)  determines what program, if any, handles the photo's. An easy solution would be to install Picasa 3. When you load the program, you can import.

ocmamma,

Did you install Picasa3.9 and use the computer's card reader?
