Hp Touchpad Charger

I ordered an HP touchpad charger from here multiple times each time they only last abput a week an I'm getting tired of buying new ones fix the problem I have spent nearly over $30 on these.

Sometimes it is only the barrel plug of the charger. Have you tried twisting the end loose and then back tight to be sure it is locked in proper position?

If it is the actual cord not holding up under your useage, I have seen some posters mention replacing the cord with heavier one and plugging it into barrel plug.

Yes I have twisted it and made check its tight and the cord is usually the HP one that comes with the charger so why does it break????

Don't really know why it is breaking.I am still using the original charger/cord with no problems, though I haven't traveled with it a lot or rolled it up much. A friend has a Touchpad that the usb port isn't a very good fit and the cord's usb plug  has to be wiggled sometimes to get the charging started.

It has just happened again except if I keep it up it charging but I don't think it will last very long,and I am not pleased at how easily these chargers break I take care of them then they break you guys seriously need to fix it

Hello Frostking,

At this point you may be looking at a device issue. I don't want to say it's impossible for you to go through that many bad chargers because anything is possible, but you shouldn't be.

Having used a TouchPad since the day it was released I have not had any charging issues with chargers.

You may want to at this point look at the port on the TouchPad as CherylG mentioned, or invest in a Touchstone.

It's not often that manufactorers will continue to sell accessories for a discontinued product. Since HP no longer sells TouchPads there is not a need to continue selling accessories.

HP Reports Third Quarter 2011 Results and Initiates Company Transformation

"HP will discontinue operations for webOS devices, specifically the TouchPad and webOS phones. The devices have not met internal milestones and financial targets. HP will continue to explore options to optimize the value of webOS software going forward."
