In theory the Pavilion Elite M9350F does support HyperV. You go into Setup by hitting F10 at the power up splash screen. You update the BIOS setting for Virtualization Technology and set it to ENABLED. Then you save the settings, and power off.
I have done this but, when I boot into windows I should be able to run a test program from AMD (amdvhyperv.exe) to verify that hardware virtualization has been enabled in the BIOS. Yet every time I run it this program reports hardware virtualization is not enabled in the BIOS.
I am running Win7x64 Ultimate. I have Virtualization Technology enabled but it does not work. This prevents me from running the Windows 7 feature known as Windows XP mode.
How do I enable Virtualization Technology on my M9350F? There are no BIOS updates for this machine so far. Is there one coming that addresses this failure?

I'm having the same problem in June 2012. Did HP ever fix this problem? They are about to have a perfectly good computer returned to them if they don't solve this. p7-1258
