I lost the HP preinstalled softwares for HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx Entertainment Notebook PC

My laptop just suddenly won't continue starting-up, the screen would go all black, so I had it checked by a computer technician. He did a disk check on my laptop and upgraded my OS from VISTA to Windows 7. And since he only did a Custom Install of the said OS, the previous contents of my drive C has been automatically relocated into a folder named "windows.old". My laptop is now fine and is avail to start-up but THE PROBLEM IS ALL THE HP SOFTWARES THAT WERE PREINSTALLED BY THE COMPANY/FACTORY WERE LOST. Some of the softwares/applications that were lost are the HP Total Care Advisor, HP Webcam, Bluetooth, HP MediaSmart, etc and I also failed to create a recovery disk before thus I don't know how to recover them. Please help me where or how I can restore/get/download these softwares/applications.

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance for those who'll help. ^_^

Re: I lost the HP preinstalled softwares for HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx Entertainment Notebook PC

Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion dv6-1245dx Notebook Computer and a link to HP's Software and Drivers page for the dv6-1245dx. You can find many, if not all, of the factory included software and drivers for Windows 7 on this page.

Depending on what was formated during the Windows 7 install, you may be able to locate and use the HP Recovery partition to create the recovery discs, if it still intact. On the chance that the recovery partition was erased the HP Recovery Kit is "Vista Premium 64b SP1 + Supp 1 Recovery Kit". This can be ordered through the software and driver page for Windows Vista 64bit but it appears to be down at the moment. Contact HP customer service for an alternative means to order the discs.

The tech just "upgrading" over your factory OS install seems a little fishy to me. Please make sure the tech provided you with the Windows 7 64bit disc and the matching Windows 7 COA and product key.

[ Edited ]

Thanks! That really helped a lot but I still got a problem...I cannot find the driver for the Bluetooth. If possible, could you please give me the exact link for the Bluetooth driver. Sorry if it's a lot of trouble.

And another thing, There are some files in my laptop that I wish to delete but it says that I need first to require permission from the SYSTEM or the administrator before I could delete those certain files thus I cannot just delete it. The thing is I Don't know who/what this SYSTEM is and how I could get permission to delete those files. The files that I wanted to delete were some of the programs/applications that are originally in my laptop when it was still Windows VISTA. I want to delete those files coz they don't have any use to me now for my OS have become Windows 7.

Thanks a lot and I hope that you could help me again. Kudos to you! ^_^

According to both the specifications and the HP PartSurfer parts list, this model doesn't not have Bluetooth. It appears to have wireless 802.11b/g only. This may be the reason there is no driver for Bluetooth on the software and driver page.
