I have an HP Pavilion p6774y Desktop PC running Windows 7. My PC requires that I log in after just a very short time of inactivity. And after I login, I get this annoying trumpet sound. I've had the laptop about 4 months, and this just started happening for no apparent reason. I don't think I did anything to change the frequency setting. I know there is a way to extend the time of inactivity before forcing a login, but I cannot find it. Help? Thanks.

I tried this several times, and then it occurred to me to reboot. After that, the problem has disappeared. Thank you!![]()
