You can buy 230w power suppy from hp..
Today, I just received email from HP care/ tech support. Let me copy and paste it from my email on this:
======================
Dear XXXXXXXX,
Thank you for contacting HP Total Care.
I understand from your email that, you wish to know whether the HP Pavilion Slimline s 3000/3700 series Desktop PC can be upgrade.
I have verified the PC specification and found that the Motherboard supports CPU upgrade Ram upgrade and additionally you can add low profile Video card.
==CPU upgrade==
Socket support Socket AM2+
AMD Phenom Quad-Core (Agena core) 9xxx series (AM2+)
AMD Phenom Triple-Core (Toliman core) 8xxx series (AM2+)
Athlon X2 BE-2xxx (Brisbane core)
Athlon 64 X2 with Dual Core technology (Windsor core) (AM2)
Athlon 64 X2 with Dual Core technology (Brisbane core) (AM2)
Athlon Sempron LE Single Core Processor 1xxx (Sparta core) (AM2)
==RAM upgrade==
The motherboard has two dual in-line memory module (DIMM) sockets. Minimum memory module size is 512 MB; maximum memory module size is 2.0 GB. The BIOS automatically detects memory type, size, and speed.
The motherboard supports the following memory features:
240-pin DDR2-DIMMs
PC2-6400 (800 MHz) DDR2-SDRAM
PC2-5300 (667 MHz) DDR2-SDRAM
unbuffered, non-ECC
4.0 GB maximum installable memory (2 x 2 GB)
Single-sided DIMMs
supports Dual Channel memory configurations
==Video card upgrade==
You can purchase the Low Profile Video Card from the nearest cmputer reseller or from any HP compututer store. Since, your PC is a Slimline you need to install a low profile PCI Express x16 Graphics card in your PC.
I would like to inform that slimline PCs ship with less amount of Power Supply unit, so you need to install a Graphics card which needs less power supply (Low Profile Graphics card).
Your PC is shipped with 160W of power supply. So you need to get the PCI Express x16 Graphics card which needs 160 Watts power supply.
==AC input voltage==
100-127v/3A (50-60Hz)
200-240V/2A (50-60Hz)
Maximum output wattage - 108W
I have verified some two low profile graphic cards are compatible for your Slimline PC which are listed below:
• nVidia GeForce 8500GT (sikorski) graphics card
• nVidia GeForce 8600GT (sabre) graphics card
Below is the key difference between the graphic cards:
3D performance: When playing video games, 3D performance is slightly better with sabre than with sikorski. The two cards are identical except for the video chipset.
Expansion Slots PCI Express x16: 1
PCI Express x1: 1
PCI Express mini card socket: 1
===Motherboard specification ==

Is there a good low profile graphics card that will only use 230 watts?
I believe that your slimline uses 230 watt power supply. Yes You can find a good low profile graphic card pcie x16 from tiger direct.com as instance- (Sparkle GeForce 9600 GT Video Card - 512MB GDDR3, PCI Express 2.0, Dual Link DVI, HDCP Capable, HDMI, Low Profile tiger.com)-, ebay or using google search. they selling many low profile graphic card somewhere on internet.
