Problem burning dvd's /cd's

Hi, i have a Pavilion s3535 slimline,and recently when trying to burn, dvd's or cd's,(using either Nero8),or  cyberlink dvd suite,

It transcodes the movie,ok, but when it tries to burn it, i get an error message, stating unable to burn disc as drive is already in use,

I am hoping someone will be able to help me out here , thank you,

p.s i have tried to update drivers etc, but it states there are no new ones available

I would reboot the pc and try to burn a music or data disc using Roxio or Cyberlink. If it doesn't burn try uninstalling the driver for the disc drive in Device Manager and rebooting the pc to reinstall it. It might be a bad drive. Does it happen with cd or dvd media? Also what brand name of media you have?

Hi c0rnel, thanks for your help, i have uninstalled the device and reinstalled,all to no avail,i can not even get a cd or dvd to play on the drive now,it whirrs and spins, but thats all it does,i have tried burning movies as a data disc , and normally, and it will still not burn, stating the drive is already in use,i even did a system recovery, and still it will not work, I am told the drivers are up to date and the drive is working correctly when i try to update it,
