I reformatted my HP Pavilion a1610n and have to reinstall the Drivers for it, I do not have the CD to reinstall it.
I had a problem with the network adapter but managed to install the driver for it, however none of my USB ports work so I need to find the drivers for the USB devices to work but cannot find the driver for it. I tried to download the bios driver for the motherboard to see if it works...but it might be the wrong one because I get a error when I try to install it.
Need help with the drivers otherwise I'll never be able to connect to the internet because I am using a Netgear USB Adapter to connect to my wireless.
Edit:
The following devices are considered not properly installed via device manager:
-Other PCI Bridge Device
-PCI Device
-PCI Simple Communications Controller
-SM Bus Controller
-Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
-Unknown Device
-Video Controller (VGA compatiable)

Hello Eldhose, It appears from your listing of the devices that need drivers, you would need the chipset drivers.
You might try going to the Nvidia site Here , and download and install the drivers and see if this resolves your issues. You may need some additional drivers, but these should resolve at least some of the driver issues.
Here is the link for the drivers for your system. You can locate the chipset drivers as well as the network device drivers. Look in the Original Drivers section.
Please click the White Kudos star on the left, to say thanks.
Please mark Accept As Solution if it solves your problem.

HP provided Nvidia Chipset Driver
HP provided 6150SE Graphics Driver
HP provided Realtek HD Audio Drivers
Please update Windows XP to Service Pack 2 or 3 before installing these drivers. Also, you can find newer drivers for these devices from the OEM manufacturer's websites. Hanspuppa has already pointed out Nvidia as a source of newer drivers for some of these devices (chipset, LAN, graphics). Additionally, Realtek will have newer HD Audio drivers.

Still having issues.
Debating on whether I should just reformat it. I forgot to mention I think I installed it with Windows XP (without any service pack, is that a issue?).

Hi:
My advice is to start over. Install XP and then before you do anything else, download and copy the standalone XP SP's to a CD or usb flash drive and update your installation to XP SP3. Then load the drivers I posted below.
If you just have the plain old XP with no SP's you can't just go to XP SP3.
Ignore the references to "Network Installation Package for IT Professionals and Developers." Just install these.
SP2
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?
SP3
http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?
One you have done that, install this chipset driver and reboot. It should also install the network adapter and other motherboard drivers.
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_nf4_winxp32_8.
Then install the video driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-285.58-whql-dri
Then install the audio driver. Accept the agreement, download and install the 7th driver listed.
The unknown device is probably the AMD Away mode driver. You will need to manually install this driver by clicking on the unknown device in the device manager and clicking on the driver tab.
Click on update driver, and select the manual search and browse to the driver folder you extract from the zip file I've attached below.
If you are missing any other drivers, please click on the device in the device manager. Then click on the details tab. Post the top string of characters you see there. Those will identify the type and model of the missing device and I can send you the link to the drivers you need.

Thank you, sorry for the late response...
Anyways, I re-installed Windows XP, installed SP1 and SP2, atm installing SP3.
I've managed to get the USB ports working again, everything seems normal...except for the fact that the Audio device is not working AT all, infact its saying its not being detected.
So I am not sure what to do about that.
Hopefully it will fix itself like the USB ports in SP3.
Also about the audio drivers, you said the 7th one, I am not sure how exactly you mean by the 7th, as there is a readme section in the middle of the selections...can you tell me the exact name?
Thanks again!

Hi:
Please see if this works...
Uninstall the audio driver and reboot.
Now, install the MS UAA driver & reboot.
You would download the XP audio driver from the realtek site (first one in green) 6th or 7th on the list depending on what you want to count.
