Selecting a computer for a senior emphasing ease of use

I want to buy an additional pc for spouse who requires the following:  ease of use, larger text, fewer technical issues, quicker access to revisited sites such as google,email,news,etc.  Although I do not like touch, does anyone have experience with seniors who prefer this input.  I have a newer all-in-one with big screen and windows 7.  What about a display on an lcd screen? 
Where can I read about issues and solutions concerning seniors?  Seems like the best would be to see various setups and observe how seniors interact with them.
