Ok so I have a hp pavilon s7000 and when I turned it on it kept it on a blank screen for half an hour.
So I put in the recovery disks I made when I bought the pc, and it was all going ok, but then I got onto disk 3 and at 14% through and I got an error, and if the problem persists contact the support team, so I did the restore again and got the same message "0x400 1100 20000 1005"
Please help

The first thing I recommend is thoroughly clean your system from any antivirus, adware, malware and spyware. Then defrag the hard drive and registry. When you get all that done, then make sure you have all the latest updates from MS, actually I would do that first. Here is a list of some free programs you can use to get you started. I have them and use them myself.
Adaware AE
Spybot S&D
Malwarebytes
Spyware doctor (from google pack)
Windows defender
AVG antivirus
Auslogic disk defrager
Auslogic registry defrager
Advance system care 3
You can get all these applications from cnet.com/downloads web page. Again, they are free. Once you cleaned your system and have all the latest updates then see if your issues persists.
CPU AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+ 3.0ghz

But I can't log in to do all this, I just has a black screen when turning on after all the windows bit.
How can I make new recovery disks, or buy them.
Is it windows or hp thats causing the problems
Thanks for the reply,
Ben,
