USB3.0 compatibility

I need a new USB hub. Is USB3.0 compatible with my HP Pavilion a6700f? I'm running Window7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Re: USB3.0 compatibility

Hi red61544,

It looks like your system has USB 2.0 ports only.  If you want usb 3.0 capability you'll probably have to buy a usb 3.0 card and add it to your machine.

Newegg.com has a decent one for around $20 that has gotten good reviews:

Have you ever installed something like that in a computer before?

Re: USB3.0 compatibility

I've installed other cards in other computers so it shouldn't be a problem.  I'm going to shop around for a four port card and some usb cables that support 3.0.  Thanks for the answer.
