What is IntelliPoint Software?

My Computer in telling me to unintall this and then reinstall, but I have know idea what it is

 

     Please help....Thank you

Hi,

 

IntelliPoint software is typically mouse drivers.  Microsoft has that IntelliPoint software.

 

It is safe to uninstall it and use the default mouse drivers.  If you have special buttons on the mouse then you will need to reinstall the software.

 

Usuallly the bottom of the pointing device (mouse) will indicate the type and model number.
