Windows 7 drivers for dx6120 MicroTowers

Hi:

Try this instead...this is a different driver that I know works on many business desktops too.

Download and run this notebook video driver for Vista. It will give you an unsupported OS error. Close out of that and then go to your device manager. Click on the VGA adapter. Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver and select the "Browse my computer for Software" method, and browse to the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.  That will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked, and the driver should install. On reboot, you should have decent video.  Just no Aero.

Thanks Paul, it worked!!! Although it doesnt have aero and i cannot use the create dvd option i can play some games like gta3 which is something that didn't happen before

You're very welcome.

You do have a PCIe x16 slot.

Just get a cheap windows 7 video card. You can even get a used one on eBay.

Do you have the Small Form Factor or the Microtower.

I'll recommend a couple video cards for you that won't cost an arm and a leg.

Hi:

Sure, you can post a picture of it. That will help determine if you need a video care with a low profile bracket or a regular size PCI bracket.
