Your system has detected a configuration error. Code purple

HP Pavilion a522n.  I just did a full recovery using a DVD I created when I bought the computer.  The following message appears:

Your system has detected a configuration error. Please report this error to Customer Care using the phone number found in the Warranty and Support Guide that came with your PC. Unless corrected, this error will prevent your PC from operating properly. Turn off your PC by pressing and holding the Power button. After a few seconds your PC will automatically turn off. (Code Purple)"

 

I first did the HP PC System Recovery and got the above message, so then tried the DVD I created.  Both get the same results.

what do I do now?

There are a couple of ways to go about fixing the hp code purple error. Use the linux live cd. This is the easiest option.

did you try the suggestions posted by wb2001?

if these didn't work, then please call HP support and let them know you received the "code purple" error

Are you having trouble with your HP computer? If so can you provide the following information:

Pavilion model t530gb. Just done system recovery and I get the Code puple error. Anyone recommend a fix? One web page suggests shift F10 followed by commands, but shift F10 doesn't work. Nothing works
