trying to get adobe flash to install. I have several downloads then when I go thru procedure to instal it never completes. Does anyone have a patch or driver to remedy this or is this computer a throw away.
Failed to initialize ! is the message i get
tried several sites frustrated!

First, download and run the Flash Uninstaller HERE to be sure any old remnants are cleaned.Restart your machine.
Open Internet Explorer. Download and install latest version of Adobe Flash Player for it from here.
From Adobe troubleshooting page HERE the message 'Failed to initialize' is attributed to some Anti-Virus software.

I need some help installing adobe flash for my compaq presario...I have tried several times using the instuctions as requested for this...yet iIam not getting any results....Louis

@Hamiltonkitchen,
I understand that you are unable to update your adobe flash.
What happens when you try to install it? Do you get any errors? If so, what are they?
What happened when the uninstaller that CherylG linked to was run?
