beep noises

i have a Compaq Presario SR2125UK

everytime i turn it  on it makes this beep noise the noise is one beep  short break then a really long beep.

plz help

Remove and reinstall the memory.

Open up to computer tower with the power cable unplugged from the back, find the memory (ram) stick(s) and remove remove them by pushing away from white tabs holding in place away from the stick with your thumbs, then pull the stick straight up and put it back in. Do the same for all sticks.

Then when you're done put the tower cover back, plug in the power cable and give it a try.
