can i print from a wireless laptop if printers hooked to desktop without a wierless card?

I have my HP Deskjet printer hooked to my desktop,Is there a way i can print from my laptop without a wireless card?

That depends on how your network is connected. If your laptop has an active wireless connection to a router, access point, etc. that is also connected to the wired portion of your network that is connected to your desktop then the answer is YES... provided you use the correct drivers and set it up correctly.

Looks something like this:

laptop ---> wireless connection ---> router ---> wired connection ---> desktop ---> usb cable ---> printer

Keep in mind that the router may have more than the one wired and/or wireless connection shown in the above example.

If the topology looks mcuh different, it maybe not be possible without some modification to your network.

Thank you very much, I did get it to work by getting my laptop to notice the main computer,With that i was able to print via my laptop. Again thank you for your help.
