Re: can this video card fit in this slot?

Risami, the length of the card is fine (7").  It is also PCI Express 2.1 X16.  If your new power supply unit is sufficient, I see no problems.  You can check the manufacturer's website to make certain.  I believe that it will require 350W to 400W.

If you change the motherboard, you will have to buy a full version of Win 7.  HP tattooes their mobos with the major components of the computer.  The Recovery Discs search for them before beginning the install.  You will not be able to install the other software that came with the computer, as well.

Re: can this video card fit in this slot?

Risami, you have obviously been giving this some thought.  The video card should work fine.  It is only 8.8" in length.  This is the measurement that I watch closely.  I always recommend 9" or less.

As for the PSU, it should work, also.  Again, measure the current PSU and compare them to the one you chose.  Antec is an okay brand.  I prefer Corsair or OCZ, however.  They make their products with the gamer in mind, assuring that their PSU's provide clean, stable power.
