color is really messed up

I cannot fix the problem I have tried but think I have made it worse the red is bright orange and white has a violet tint

Mygirldee, we require more information to help you.  What is the make/model of the computer and of the monitor?

We also need to know the video card/software....whether it's ATI (Radeon) or nVidia (GeForce)...

Did you try using the auto-adjust software in the PC?

I have HP computer and monitor  it also says AMD (IIX215)

so sorry to trouble you I am in the very early stages of dementia and am trying to hang on here keeping up with family and friends and playing games looking up facts and dates so if you can help it will be so appericated

Hello mygirldee, I might suggest you start to recover from this by setting the monitor to the Factory default settings, that can be located in the monitor menu by accessing it from the buttons on the front of the monitor.

You might also enter the video card Control Panel, whether it be ATI Catalyst Control Panel or the Nvidia Control Panel, and put all the settings to the default settings.

These video card video Control Panles can be located in the Control Panel of your system.

If after you set these to the default settings, and the image is not as you prefer, you can start to adjust the settings to your taste.
