Problem Description: Installed 2 1gb sticks but computer only recognizes one stick.
Currently Installed Memory: 1GB
Available Memory Slots: 1
Number of Banks: 2
Dual Channel Support: No
CPU Manufacturer: GenuineIntel
CPU Family: Intel(R) Celeron(R) D CPU 3.20GHz Model 6, Stepping 4
CPU Speed: 3199 MHz
This the memory I purchased as suggested by Cruicial
2GB kit (1GBx2)

Scroll down this page and install the SouthBrigde driver for your chipset. Reboot after installing the driver.
P.S. I know it shows Graphics Drivers but the SouthBridge is part of the chipset.

Download and run Memtest86 and check each individual piece of memory in each slot. Could be there is a bad memory module or a memory slot on the motherboard is not working. Sometimes you have to run approved speeds from the board specs. PC2 4200 DDR 400/533

I ran the memtest86, it says pass complete no errors did it twice.
Pentium d 65 nm 3199 mhz
l1 cache: 16k 20910ms
l2 cache: 512k 16927ms
l3 cache: none
Memory: 959m 1055mbs
Does this mean that memtest only detected the one memory stick 1g. Also does the fact that other memory config. says the slot is empty mean anything? both sticks work in one of the slots so its not the memory stick right?
I really appreciate the help you have given me.
