expand recovery drive

My back-up disk D space is full at 7.7GB. I've partitioned 5GB from the C drive to create Z drive. How do I expand the D drive capacity to include the Z drive space? The D drive window doesn't show "expand" as an allowed option.

Re: expand recovery drive

If you have a HP/Compaq computer, the D: drive is typically the recovery partition. It is recommended that you do not modify this partition and/or store files or backups on this partition as it may cause issues with recovering your computer.

Re: expand recovery drive

Frank, thanks for response. It seems strange that a recovery drive would be limited to 8GB and not expandable. I am backing up files extenally, so I'll try to eliminate the message that constantly comes up. Thnaks again. R
