g56 will not boot

My HP G56 won't boot. It starts but goes to a blue screen with sun rays and that's it. What can I do? Thanks for your help!

restart by turning off pc pressing and hold power button till pc shut down press power button to restart hold and press f8 then start in safe mode then system restore it worked for me
