Hello: Where can I find a diagram of the audio jacks (inputs) on the rear of the computer and an explanation of exactly what they do? I also need a new speaker system, so any recommendations would be most appreciated! Thanks a lot,

Steve, welcome to the forum.

Here is the Motherboard Specifications page for the computer.  Scroll down to the I/O ports/Back I/O ports section for the list of the ports and what they do.

There are many good speaker systems available, but in my opinion the Bose Companion 5 system is the best.  While it is expensive, you don't have to buy a sound card to make them sound great.  They connect to your system through a USB port.  The integrated sound simply won't allow good speakers to reach their potential.  If Bose is too expensive, here is a pair of Logitech speakers that have many good reviews.  Read the reviews to see what owners have to say about them.

Steve, it is my pleasure.  I know the Bose system is expensive.  I believe you will like the Logitech system, however. I have been using an inexpensive set of good speakers for years.  They work great.  My next system will be Bose.  I have a T20 Bose Home Theater System.
