, it play’s cd’s but not dvd’s

Hi

Ive made the two disc’s, but cant open either of them tried opening them with all progamn on my comp,

so i take it i need new drive, could you recommend where to purchase one,and thank you for all your help.

Hi,

You don't need to try and open the discs when Windows is already running - these discs should be 'bootable' which means your PC should run from them instead of loding into Windows.

Just so that I am certain on this, what happens if you do the following?

Start the PC and let Windows fully load.  Insert the CD.  Cancel any Autoplay prompt to open the CD.  Restart the PC with the CD still in the drive.  The PC should boot from the CD and not load into Windows as it normally would.  If this is the case, let the first screen load, eject the CD and restart the PC to load into Windows normally.

Does the PC load from the CD or just go straight into Windows?

Now try exactly the same procedure using the DVD and see if the PC will load from this.
