m9350f Recovery Problem

My hard drive died and HP sent me another one along with recovery discs. Tried using the discs they sent and also discs I made when I got the computer and neither work. They both take about 6 hours to check off on "reinstalling windows partition of your hard drive" then freeze at 0% of the "reinstalling original content" phase. They said they may have sent me wrong discs then sent me more with the exact same build number. Since I also tried the discs I made from this very computer with the same result I don't think it's a problem with the discs.
