Turn on power switch and nothing happens. Fan works but nothing comes on .... keyboard, monitor, or anything. Removed cover and notice the fan on top of system CPU is working. Computer is HP Pavilion a6028x (6000 series). I think its the power supply. I did replace the CMOS battery. Thanks.

Ordered new power supply yesterday. UPS delivery today.
When you need to order power supply, I highly recommend you check out ATXPowerSupplies.com
Great prices and very fast shipment (no, I am not a Reseller for them ..... just a satisfied customer).
Thanks again for the links. Will post results once I install new power supply.

Hi, I have exactly the same symptoms on my desktop HP. The system does not pass the initial Fan test before booting. Have tryed all the obvious removing and replacement of connectors, battery, RAM cards etc. which only worked once.
Did you find a solution?.
Cheers
