Right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Recording devices. In the following window, right click the Internal Mic and select Disable.

Hello tuckieB. I understand you need to re-enable your microphone.
Go back to the Recording tab in which you disabled it and right-click in the white area. Make sure "show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices" are checked. You should see then your device which you can right click on and enable.
