How do you justify having a suggested retail price of $99 in the US and $288 in Canada for a 50g??????????????

Hi,
The HP websites have some errors. See this one (http://www8.hp.com/us/en/products/calculators/prod
The link to the US page with 50g learning modules actually shows the HP-40gs (which used to retail at that price but is no longer available), if you select "Buy Online" it gives an error. The actual suggested US retail price for the 50g is $129.99. http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/calculator/Scie
That said, the price in other countries is always well higher than the US. e.g. in the UK we often see US products for the same figure in UK Pounds, even though there is a 1.6 exchange rate (i.e. the 50g = $210). Why it is $288 in Canada I don't know, are there high import duties?, or is HP just charging what they think they will get away with?
Regards.
