Many years ago I bought the superb hp11c which was a joy to use. Some time ago it died and I bought the hp33s even though I had long since retired. Nostalgia is driving me to try to resurrect the 11c. Any ideas as to where could I get advice?

Hi!,
A good place to go would be the following forum,
The Museum of HP Calculators Forum (http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/hpmuseum/f
There are a number of enthusiasts that restore old calculators that frequent that forum.
Kind regards,
Bart

I suggest the normal Hp12c. It is from the same family of calculators and very similar to the Hp11c aside from a few quirks and less powerful programing features. Has the same look and feel and has the same stats and forecasting functions. No trig, but it is a financial calculator and may even be better suited to the retired person watching their investments. It is still available NEW and can be bought fairly reasonably used (which isn't true for the Hp11c).

I have an 11C that I was thinking of putting on eBay, someday, ...not right now though (sorry). Reason I bring it up, if I have one in very good shape, it reasonable to believe there could be others out there (that were sitting idle for many years). So that's one thought, another, have you looked into 11C emulators? They have them that can be used on computers and some smartphones.
