Re: DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME HP DF820

One comment and one question:

Comment:  I have not seen the auto rotate work.  I had to manually rotate all my portrait photos back to landscape via Picasa and save before copying over to the photo frame's internal memory.

Question:  Has anyone seen the remote work through the double matting?  I have the following setup:

Digital Frame --> Black Matte --> Silver Matte --> Outside Glass Frame

If I take the mattes out, the remote work just fine (yes...it has a fresh battery).  If I try to use the remote through the double matte, it simply does not work.  What gives?  This seems like a simple design flaw.  Any ideas?  What am I missing here?  The reason for the remote is that you need it for certain menu controls like Volume Control on the MP3s.  Additionally, it's just easier to use the remote.  HELP!!!

Re: DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME HP DF820

How do you delete the introductory slide show? We received the df1000 from our son for christmas and really do not want to have to watch the advertisement every time.

Re: DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME HP DF820

use the USB cable to connect the frame to a computer and navigate to the files for the demo and drag them to the trash.

Re: DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME HP DF820

I think that saving the picture in the correct orientation is the key.  Until the picture is saved the frame does not know what orientation you have chosen.

You can rotate the image but the state is lost unless the picture is saved again.

Re: DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME HP DF820 - No video sound

My df820 works fine but the sound from video files do not play. Is it not capbable of this? Tried video formats of .avi, .mov. mp4 all of which play fine, with sound, on both my Windows and Mac PCs. Videos plays fine - just no sound.

PS. What a strange bulletin board - I couldn't figure out how to create a new message/post to this thread, so had to piggyback/reply to this one.

Re: DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME HP DF820
