Re: HP Dreamscreen Problem:

It does seem that the more friends and therefore the more status updates there might be, the longer it takes to bring up Facebook. I only have two pages of info when I logon, it only takes about 10 seconds. I was speaking with someone who has 10 pages of updates, their logon takes more than 30 seconds. Something to consider.

This is not a direct connection to Facebook, the page does have to build every time based on the number of status updates.

Cheers,

Re: HP Dreamscreen Problem:

I’m having the same issue.  I have updated the firmware and can connect to other on-line services.  My error message after a very long time out states “can not connect to the internet”.  I have even placed my DreamScreen in the DMZ to insure it is not a port blocking issue of some kind from my router.

I’m going to try my wife’s Facebook account as she has much fewer updates from friends and see if this allows it to connect. I have over 45k people on my friends list due to playing a FB game and I could see the time it takes to update might be the issue.  I just wished there was a more descriptive “error” message for this problem.

Great product overall, just need more apps!!

Re: HP Dreamscreen Problem:

I am having the same problem.  Have done EVERYTHING everyone suggested above.  My boyfriend can log on with his username and password - no problem.  It will not log me in.  It just goes into the "thinking mode" and never logs me into Facebook.  Everything else works (Pandora, etc).

Why would it NOT work for me but it WILL work for the boyfriend's account?
I've tried updating software, resetting the machine, logging in  using Dreamscreen keyboard,  updated the dreamscreen with software on the computer.....NOTHING WORKS.

I am so disappointed.

Re: HP Dreamscreen Problem:

One other thing, there isn't a restriction/setting in Facebook that might be keeping us from being able to log in, is there?

Re: HP Dreamscreen Problem:

Hello,

Did anyone find a resolution to this issue? I am having the same issue where Facebook just sits there loading and eventually goes back to the main HP home screen.

Help!

Re: HP Dreamscreen Problem:

I bought mine primarily for FaceBook also and am not able to connect with FB.  Other internet services work fine.  Tried multiple FB accounts.  Either the API hasn't been tested very well or it's a timeout problem.  I have a very fast connection so don't think that's the problem.  Paid too much for it not to work and will probably return it.
