HP EX485 Windows Server question

I plan on upgrading a PC from VISTA to Windows 7. I have a windows server so does anyone know how the EX485 windows server will store the backups? Is the first backup stored like a new PC would be stored? Should I delete the old VISTA backups? Any info would help.

Re: HP EX485 Windows Server question

Backups are pretty much OS independent. Windows Home Server (which I assume is what you have) will read the NTFS partition on the PC. its possible you may need to upgrade WHS for Win 7 support, but if you have autmatic updatres setup, that should have been done.

Hope this helps,

Re: HP EX485 Windows Server question

I have upgraded all my home computers to win7, my hp ex485 server refused to work any more. I tried to reinstall, no luck. Is there a newer version the Win 2003 server that I can get. I was able to back up all important files.
