I have several HP ml110 G6 servers running the SATA RAID notification utility(the latest, version 6.47.0.32). I have tasks set up to notify me of errors, but would like events logged reminding of the error. The original error is the only time in the event log that an error is known. I would like either repeated Warnings of the error or at least during the service starting.
Currently this is how it works:
A customer's server gets a RAID error: It displays a message on the PC telling to call for assistance and emails support. This is triggered by the ONE message in the System log cissesrv event.
I would like it to work:
A customer's server gets a RAID error: It displays a message on the PC telling to call for assistance and emails support.
As long as the drive is still in error mode, I want a warning event in the system log indicating the previous error. Either every 30 minutes or so or when the service starts. That way I can set up a trigger to remind of the error.
Thank you,
Brian

The event service only displays errors when they are sent by the smart array hardware. If you're looking for a way to periodically notify, you will need to look in to running the Smart Array Insight Management Storage Agents and configuring advanced scripting. You can also configure scripting via the ACU (Array Configuration Utility) CLI tool. You'll need to manually set up your own advanced scripting.
