Hello,
I have been having some trouble with my HP Probook 4730s with Windows 7 Professional in regards to the audio and video playback. Both online and offline videos, song, podcasts etc. randomly glitch and buzz over and over again. The audio plays fine apart from these 'coughs.' It doesn't bring up an error message.
It started in conjunction with me being prompted to do a system restore after the computer shut itself down earlier today.
To be honest the problem sounds quite similar to this thread, however that thread discusses a 4530s whereas my computer is a 4730s.
Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

There could be many possible reasons if the issue appeared after a severe system crash+restore. But for that specific problem with audio/video hickups with HP Power Assistant check which version of HP Power Assistant you have installed now. If you have v2.1.0.6 then try upgrading to the latest version from HP support downloads: v2.0.6.0 (25 Oct 2011) sp54635.exe (27 MB).

Ahh, perfect, cheers mate.
All sorted after getting rid of HP Power Assistant v2.1.0.6
