HP Procurve 4000M and Procurve 2424

I have these 2 procurve switches and an Avaya Open Office phone system.

We recently added 2 IP phones to an area far away and these phones go through

both switches.

We are getting some echoing in the phones and Avaya told me to configure the QoS on

the switches.  The 4000M and 2424 do not have QoS they only have CoS.

Can I do something to CoS to make the phones work properly?  Will these switches

work for IP phones?

Tech0803,

CoS is part of or a mechanism of Quality of Service (QoS).  You can use layer two CoS or layer 3 ToS(DSCP) when configuring QoS on switches.  Take a look at the configuration guides or call into support for how to configure the switches.
