I've encountered following problem: I got TMA (Transparent Media Adapter) from HP scanner. As I did not have HP Scanner - I cut off TMA connector plug, and attached it to +12V DC. So it works, but I have to disable built in lamp.
Now I want to scan large amount of slides and negatives. And I have access to HP 5590 scanjet (with TMA socket).
Unfortunately - I get rid of connector itself. So now I cannot persuade scanner to switch off build in lamp.
TMA for driving lamp uses just two pins (wires) from connector.
Can some give me pinout list of TMA or explain principle what pins should I shorten(?) to tell scanner that TMA is connected?
Other way - maybe there are some driver tweaks to switch off scanner lamp?
