HP StorageWorks Ultrium 3000 SAS error

I'm using HP Store Open Standalone with this LTO5 drive. Everything seems to be set up properly, but at random points during a drag and drop onto the mounted volume, I get this error "the operation can't be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -50)" I've gotten some successful backups, but it usually crashes on this error. 

 

I'm on OS 10.6, Mac Pro 5,1

Problem solved........didn't consider illegal characters in LTFS file names.
