Hi,
We use only remote desktop sessions to RDS servers through connection manager in kiosk mode.
The terminals are joined to domain. At logon, Connection manager logs in with domain service account. Now, since our terminals are at remote locations, a scheduled task is created that calls a bat file to start VPN session at system startup.
There are so many pros and cons with that kind of solution.
For example, if the TC is not in domain but in workgroup, users must log in to RDS in form: domain\username. That's not good.
The VPN solution is also painful (we use bat to call .pbk preconfigured [pptp]VPN adapter under RAS folder in system32 catalog)
Is there anyone who's had similar setup for those clients? What solutions are turned out to be most effective in management? We use HPDM to control these clients.
