HP Wireless Elite Keyboard P/N FQ480AA lag not functioning [ Edited ]

I've had this keyboard for 3 months or so, now it started to mess up.

the receiver doesnt respond or keyboard doesnt send signal, oe or the other. Half the time it responds like 3-5 seconds later. Also sometimes it stops wirking alltogether.  batteries are full and keyboard is about  10 centimeters away from receiver.

I have brand new Energizer batteries in it.

any tips?

slightly off the topic- was it absolutely necessary to make receiver clear case with giant blue bulb that lights up on every keystroke? i mean C'mon....No, it's not hip nor cool, just plain annoying and distracting.

I have different problems with this keyboard.

Mine blue light on receiver shines all the time until you stop typing for 5 minutes and then keyboard shuts down all by itself and nothing can wake it up. Only removing (brand new) batteries and putting them again. Completely unusable.

Regarding tips. Did you bought recently maybe some other device (mouse) that uses wireless technology? Interferences can be the problem.
