Purchased new HP premium auto focus webcam yesterday from reputable supermarket chain. Supplied drivers and software disc appears to be damaged. No computer or laptop DVD or CD drives are able to read the disc. Disc appears to be warped (heat damaged) as it will not sit in tray happily. I thought you might have a driver and software download section on the website, however this directs me to your shop where you wish to charge me £10 for a new disc. That's not good! What should I do next?

Hi MysteryUK,
I think I was working this issue with Europe's level 2 support yesterday. :-) The product is a GX607AA, you can double check the product number on the tag located near the USB connect. I believe you are a UK customer and purchsed the product in UK. We do provide the replacement CD via an ordering process on the hp support web. Unfortunately, the company HP works with for CD replication does charge shipping fees. However, because your CD is damaged out of the box and never able to install, I would view this as a defective product and not a replacement of a lost CD. There are several options for resolution.
1. Return product to place of purchase for a replacement.
2. Call the local HP call center and ask for a replacement product or that a replacement CD be sent to you free of charge (including shipping fees).
