LightScribe software

Recently bought an HP Pavilion p6-2103wb. Can't find LightScribe software on my new PC.  This is my 1st PC and I am learning as I go. Should I assume this software is NOT loaded into my PC or can I download it from the HP site (free)? Thanks.

Re: LightScribe software

Most likely your HP computer came preloaded with CyberLink LabelPrint.   You should see it by going to Start--->AllProgram.  You should see Cyberlink near the top of the listed programs.  In order to use Lightscribe you need to download the driver to enable Lightscribe funtionality.   You can download the driver for FREE here http://www.lightscribe.com/DownloadSection/windows/index.aspx   You will want to download "Lightscribe System Software (LSS)", after you install the driver Open CyberLink LabelPrint and you will now see Lightscribe as an option for creating a label. (Lightscribe will be selected by default.

I usually download the DVD Image from the internet and jump to step 3.  Upper right corner "Layout Style" click "select", click Okay "warning message", click disk image that is completely blank.  (disc type on top row, and on right-hand side).   Now you will see a screen with a white disk.  Now on the bottom right of screen select "browse" under "Background Image", click browse again in the pop-up window and select the image you downloaded from the internet, click arrow to go to next page, now click print icon (located where the go to next page arrow used to be) .  The icon looks like a disc and marker bottom right hand corner of the screen.

Hope this helps,

Trevor
