Print Orientation

My HP C4580 Photosmart All-in-One Printer will not print in the landscape orientation even though, the popper settings are selected. The printing and the preview always come out in the portrait mode.

Re: Print Orientation

Where are you setting the landscape mode? And what app are you printing from (some app has it's own idea of print format). Also, is this Windows or other OS? Windows let you do the printer settings two ways, if you do it when printing, the settings don't stick.

Re: Print Orientation

I was trying to print a document in the landscape mode of my C4580 printer. I clicked on print then properties. In properties, I changed from portrait to landscape and then clicked the ok button and then ok to print. The document came out in portrait form. Attempted this a few times without success. I even went to HP support found the manual and followed the instructions exactly as given for changing orientation and this failed as well. As for my PC, I use Windows 7.

Thanks for your input. Will await your next response.................................

Re: Print Orientation

Please disregard my first reply to your answer to my question. The problem has been resolved at this end. Had nothing to do with my HP printer. The problem was traced to my Microsoft Works program and the settings. Not only have to change the setting for the printer but the MS Works program as well.

I am sorry to have bothered you with this issue and thank you to the fullest for your answer. After looking the answer over it led me (and the wife) in another direction. Again, Thanks very much for your help.
