Hi
We have EVA 4400 (with latest firmware 10001000) and Command view 10.0 installed on windows 2008 R2 server. Everything works fine. But we want to discover EVA 4400 to HP Insight Manager installed on another server. This is not possible for unknown reason.
We found also problems with discoverer.bat which does not discover EVA 4400.
We get this error after running \Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\SMI-S\EVAProvider\bin>discov
ERROR: Received CIM_ERR_INVALID_NAMESPACE... CIMOM maynot have loaded the provider namespace root/eva... Please try after some time.
Any ideas ?
Best regards
Roman Lenarsic

Hi,
With HP support we found a solution. I would like to thanks HP Support Slovenia which help me to find this solution.
Problem was because we did not install CommandView to default path on C drive.
The alternate path where CV was installed was:
D:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\
The Command View EVA 9.1 release notes, p.17 contains the following note.
When performing a custom installation of HP SMI-S EVA Provider, ensure that there are no spaces in the install path.
Solution
Install CV to an alternate path with no space in the path name.
Same problem is with CommandView 10.
Best regards
Roman Lenarsic
