Raid 5 configuration issue on HP DL380 G7

Hi,

 

When I try configuring RAID 5 for the HP DL380 G7 server using HP STARTSMART 8.70B x64, it shows only RAID 0, if I use the OCRA it shows options RAID 1+0 and RAID 0 knowing that I have 3 x 300 GB SAS drives in bays 1,2 and 3. What could be the issue?

I am currently having the same issue, I am unable to select RAID 5 on my DL380 G7.  Another thing is that it is only letting me create two logical drives...

Brand New - should I just return the New Server?

 

I am having similar issues

Drive in Bay-1 is not detected.
Drives in Bays-2, -3, -4 are detected for RAID5

 

Cannot setup RAID5 with Hot-swap (standby)

 

Any suggestion is appreciated.
