SimpleSave SD500a Does A complete back up every time-not just the new or changed files

I am using the sd500a on a Dell D630 laptop, Windows 7, 64 bit.

 

Everytime it completes a back-up, it creates a brand new back up.  It should only back up the new and/or changed files.  On the external hard drive, it also creates a new "profile"....so I have 8 back-ups for one computer. 

 

Also, even the the sd500a is left connected to the laptop, it does not iniate a back-up unless I manually tell it to back-up.  And then it does an entire back-up, as if its never been done before.

 

I use the same sd500a on 2 other laptops and it works the way it should...only backing up the new and/or changed files to the existing profile.
